It helps to make a straight fold at the center of each pleat, folding the lining with the face fabric. With an optional steam generator and steam wand, the creases can be steamed out of the fabric. The length and evenness of the hemline can also be checked at the same time.

There is a full size steam chamber available to envelope the whole machine and surround the draperies with steam and thus steam out all the creases from the drapery without manual assistance.
